Validation of New Home Review

Anyone who knows me will realise that I can be a bit... unfocused on just one thing.  I like doing multiple things.  But even I know that I'm trying to do too much.  But everytime I come back to the New Home Review site idea I keep on thinking of ways why I should do it and why I would want to do it.

The concept is to provide a site like but for new home builders and buyers.  I was the Product and Tech Manager at CarAdvice for a while I really enjoyed my work, it really didn't inspire me because I am just not into cars.  But houses on the other hand... it's always been my thing.  Ever since I was a kid.  I wanted to be an architect until I realised that I wasn't that artistic and chances of getting a decent paying job was slim!  But even throughout I've been trying to find ways to get into the market and do 'something' with houses.  I have a real estate course under my belt which I never used as I found it too sleazy a market; I did property investment sales but found it too far removed from the 'fun' stuff; I did an interior design course; and am always willing to help someone else shop for a house!

How cool would it be to have as your job review and look at houses!?  Awesome!

Anyway we do have a landing page up: and I started a twitter handle and started following people whom I thought would be useful to know... a long story short, we got contacted from one of these Twitter handle companies and they are interested in advertising!  So validation of sorts.

So is it a go-er?  I think so!  It's just a matter of me having to drop a few things.  The most obvious thing is to drop all my consulting work and just concentrate on getting one of the businesses going well enough.\

On another note, Oddswop is doing great after I did some growth hacking using an SMS campaign (I'll blog about this another time!) and we got a shout out from Sarah Wilson!  Woohoo!
